Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm
Zucotti Park, New York, NY 10006
As the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks quickly approaches, the 9/11 community still has not yet seen any accountability from its government or the FBI.
While on the campaign trail, President Biden promised that he would declassify the FBI's 9/11-related documents once he was in office. Now almost 8 months into his presidency, President Biden has yet to release any of these documents. In response to the Biden administration's inaction, we will be having a protest on September 9 at Zucotti Park, just a short walk from the site of the attacks, to urge President Biden to honor the promises he made to the 9/11 community and release the 9/11 documents.
If President Biden is able to provide these documents by September 9, then the protest will be a celebration of his cooperation with the 9/11 community.
The protest will be from approximately 11 am to 1 pm and will feature speakers from the 9/11 community and political leaders.
We encourage every member of the 9/11 community, those who lost a loved one, those who survived injuries, and those who were sickened from exposure to the area, to show up next Thursday and let your voices be heard. Please bring as many family members and friends as you can. Feel free to bring signs that show your loved ones or that call on the FBI, DOJ, and President Biden to declassify the 9/11 documents.
20 years is too long to wait for truth and accountability.
Make your voice heard.
