Success in Efforts to Protect Witnesses and Hold the Saudi Kingdom Responsible for Khashoggi’s Murder

Following a hearing last month in which it was revealed that Jamal Khashoggi was a potential witness for the plaintiffs against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, lawyers for the 9/11 families can move forward with pursuing allegations of witness intimidation.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn rejected 2 motions filed by attorneys for the Kingdom and ordered 9/11 families attorneys “share information with her under seal about any efforts to inform the Department of Justice about the alleged acts of intimidation.”
