WHO ARE WE?

We represent a grassroots movement made up of the 9/11 community, which consists of 9/11 survivors, first responders, family members of those lost, and all volunteers and lower Manhattan residents, students and workers who are now suffering fatal illnesses due to their exposure to Ground Zero. The 9/11 community has successfully worked with Congress to override the presidential veto of Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA). Now law, JASTA stripped terrorist nations of immunity.

In September 2021 under pressure from our group of families, President Biden enacted an Executive Order which called for the declassification of FBI documents. These documents pertained to the decades long secret investigation the FBI undertook called Operation Encore. The focus of Operation Encore was to investigate the Saudi Government role in 9/11. Operation Encore was launched in 2006 (two years AFTER the conclusion of the 9/11 Commission) and lasted until 2021. Encore concluded that at least 13 Saudi Government officials were involved with supporting the 9/11 hijackers, and at least one of those officials was working for the Saudi Intelligence Agency. Some of the documents posted to this website are the results of that Executive Order. The 9/11 community will not rest until the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been held to account for its role in the murder of nearly 3,000 Americans.

Senator Blumenthal stands in support of the 9/11 community on September 13, 2019

The 9/11 community has bipartisan political support from both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House. Some of our biggest advocates in Washington, D.C. are Senators Richard Blumenthal, Bob Menendez, Chuck Schumer, John Cornyn and Chuck Grassley. In the House some of our best supporters include Representatives Nicole Malliotakis, Chris Smtih, Jerry Nadler and Rosa DeLauro.
